Fast Easy Weight Loss Food Ideas

Medicine has proved that weight gain is primarily caused by excess food consumption and the number of cases where weight is gained by a hormonal imbalance or thyroid malfunction is relatively low. Perhaps by learning a little more about food that helps you lose weight t will help with your weight problem.

Some foods help control weight whilst others actively promote the burning of excess body fat. There are several categories of weight loss ood you should have a look at, and here are a few of them to give you an idea about how diverse a diet can be.

Some of these foods are commonly used and include the likes of pasta dishes, meals that contain Brussels, cabbage and peas. Tomato sauce is actually better for you than tomatoes but if you add this to a portion of spaghetti and perhaps mix it with some veal which is also low in fat you have a highly nutritious low fat, great tasting meal. White fish has long been known to be healthy but it is also good for weight maintenance as well especially if you have this with vegetables that have been steamed and even mash potatoes have a low calorie count. You can even eat fresh sweet cheese providing it is low fat but yogurt; porridge and even dark rice are healthy weight loss foods.

Apart form vegetables most fruits are good for the metabolism, being full of antioxidants but special mention should be made of oranges, lemons, grapefruits and especially apples. Fruits like kiwi, strawberries and water melons are also good if you are pursuing a weight loss food program. Grapes can also be good but bananas and figs actually contain high amounts of calories although bananas are an excellent fuel source when you are carrying out physical activity. Of course vegetables are mainly made up of water but also contain amounts of healthy nutrients and minerals plus large quantities can be eaten without weight gain so the likes of tomatoes, cucumber, celery, lettuce are all good weight loss oods.

It should be worth mentioning that cakes, take-aways, sandwiches and fast food are way off regular weight loss food; on the contrary these may very well be the factors for which you’re having weight or health problems. Most foods are now available in ‘health option’ versions which are low in fat content and whilst this is going to be better for you it does not mean these are truly healthy foods. It would be unfair to exclude everything that is nice from your weight loss diet but you should check the ingredients labels carefully on these products before you start using them.
